We are delighted to share this NEWLY RENOVATED 17th century Grade II listed property, sitting in a prime location on Chipping Sodbury’s Medieval Highstreet. Forming part of the original market square, around which the town was based, the house has OUTSTANDING VIEWS up the length of the Highstreet, overlooking the historic war memorial and market cross.

Fantastic holiday house, full of character and a brilliant location right on the High Street in a lovely market town. Within easy reach of Bristol and Bath for day trips. Rob was really helpful prior to our stay, and even left an Easter egg for our son, which made his day!

Ideally situated with a superb view of the High Street. Tastefully and sympathetically furnished, very much in keeping with its history. The property has a well equipped kitchen , a super shower and comfy beds. The thoughtful welcome pack of milk, bread , butter, coffee, wine etc. was much appreciated.

This was the best Airbnb property that I have ever stayed in and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who enjoys a historical setting in a prime location. No 3 Horse Street is right in the heart of beautiful Chipping Sodbury with all local amenities right on your doorstep. The property itself is sublime – multiple staircases, a huge beamed living room, original features, a fully-equipped and pristine kitchen, a well-equipped shower room and so many unexpected extras – from the welcome note upon our arrival to the much appreciated bread, milk, cake and bottle of wine. Our host, Rob, made himself available in minutes when we encountered a problem with the front door lock and resolved it immediately. We also enjoyed the information pack, which contains key details on all the white goods/electronic devices in the house, as well as suggestions of places to visit in the Chipping Sodbury area. It was an absolute delight to stay here. I just wish we'd booked it for a fortnight! A real gem.

This place is a charming opportunity to spend time in a wonderful idyllic location. An easy recommendation for single adventurers, romantic couple getaways, and families. You get the best of both worlds - enjoying a rare visible historic slice of the past while still having the advantages of modern amenities. There's plenty to do (and eat!) within walking distance. The space easily accommodated us with two young children. Rob took the time ahead of our visit to think through our needs and recommended great nearby conveniences. Thank you Rob, for being fantastically responsive! We can't wait to return!

The cottage was built during the reign of King Charles II and features an exposed stone exterior, multiple original fireplaces, beamed ceilings and a unique original wattle and daub feature wall.
We have lovingly restored the property over the past few years, giving it new life and reinstating its original purpose as a residential dwelling. Primarily, the renovations have included a completely new bathroom and kitchen, along with a complete redecorating of all other rooms. A few additional creature comforts were added, including high speed dedicated Wi-Fi, a smart TV with streaming services, a new combi boiler (continuous hot water) and a utility space.
Chipping Sodbury was built on the original road between Bristol and Oxford, serving as a rest stop for weary travellers. This history is still evident today, within the host of pubs, restaurants and original inns all within a few minutes stroll of this cottage. Multiple free parking options are available during your stay, including the Highstreet itself. With its Cotswold-edge location the cottage is a perfect base for adventures to Bath, Bristol and Beyond, with easy access to the Cotswold and Monarch’s Way footpaths.

Modern Bathroom: Contains a spacious walk-in shower, floating sink unit with vanity mirror and a toilet. There is also a separate water closet upstairs.
Large Main bedroom on ground floor with Super King-sized bed, original stone fireplace, oak beams, and wooden shutters.
Large Living room: Cosy window seats overlooking the Highstreet, large comfy corner sofa, 43” smart TV (Popular streaming services available for login), original wattle and daub feature wall, original stone fireplace, beautiful wooden Oak ceilings, feature beams, wooden shutters.
Kitchen: New stand-alone oven with hob, full fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, and fully stocked kitchen hardware. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket.
Separate Dining room: Period oak furniture, large table, shuttered window opening into a courtyard.
Second bedroom: 2 single beds, fireplace, shuttered window, traditional wooden floor.
Cellar: Washing machine.
Cot and highchair available.

There is a public free car park about 200 meters away, parking is on street, quieter when shops are closed. Local buses to Bristol and Bath are a short walk
