Cornwall · 整套乡村小屋 · 3室4床2.0卫 · 可住7人 · Character farmhouse in the middle of Bodmin Moor..
Whitewalls is a beautiful rural hideaway. A granite farmhouse built in the 1800's full of quirky country charm. Set in the middle of Bodmin Moor with direct moor access, leading to wonderful walks and breathtaking views. The atmosphere around the house changes from day to day sometimes mean and moody and sometimes soft, bright and warm but certainly never anything other than stunning. Whitewalls is located between north and south coasts making it an ideal location from which to explore Cornwall. Whitewalls is a family home for most of the year and so is set up with all that you will need for your stay. It is not by any means empty of all of our things but it will be clean and tidy with hanging and storage space available for our guests. It is not a luxury dwelling but it is cosy and comfortable in the way that a moorland farmhouse should be. There are 2 double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite wet room with a shower. The third bedroom has a triple bunk bed. It may be possible to add a single mattress or two to make the accommodation more flexible. There is also a family bathroom on the middle floor, with a shower and bath and a separate loo with wash basin downstairs. There is a washing machine in the games room. The games room has a full-sized pub pool table, a dart board and lots of puzzles and games. There is plenty of outside space to sit outside and run around. Whitewalls is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) and in a dark sky area, backing onto Bodmin Moor. There are fabulous walks from the front door, with many areas to explore.
There are no shops, cafes, pubs or restaurants nearby due to the isolated location but there are plenty of places around that you can get to in around 20 minutes. There are beautiful walks all around the property, lovely neighbours and an interesting church to explore. Bodmin Moor is just out our back gate.
There is limited public transport in the area and nothing close to the house, so you should expect to drive to most places you want to visit. The roads are narrow but the locals are friendly, so just allow enough time for your journey so that you don't have to rush. There will be an Ordinance Survey map available which shows local walks and rights of way.
自我介绍
I am a Primary school teacher, living in Cornwall. I recently moved here having returned from living in Tanzania with my wife & 3 boys for the last 12 years. I enjoy the great outdoors and love to be out regardless of the weather, in fact the wilder the better. I love to travel particularly throughout Africa - living out of the back of a Land Rover in the wilderness, surrounded by wildlife is my idea of a great holiday. I speak good Swahili and am still passionate about Tanzania. One of my favourite things to do is to build things in my workshop, often ably assisted by my 3 young boys. Cooking and eating outside, topped off by a fireside chat, sums up my kind of entertaining. I reuse and repurpose wherever possible and take enormous satisfaction in fixing things and solving problems. As a host I am attentive and personable, I enjoy people and their stories but also appreciate the importance of a quiet and relaxing space for my guests to stay in. Wherever possible I will accommodate guest requests and help to arrange an itinerary or suggest enjoyable things to do.
