Blue Horizon Bay is an undiscovered jewel - a beautiful, clean, small town, with an exceptional beach. The town is built on a steep slope so that you can clearly see the blue horizon from look out points. The accommodation was about 1 km from the beach, but it is only walkable if you are very fit (especially up) and even the teens drove to the beach. The wide beach with soft sand is also at the bottom of a huge sand dune, that you have to climb when coming from the sea, giving gorgeous views of the sunset. The town has a small shop with everything you might need and the Prickly Pear Restaurant that we frequented. The accommodation consists of a deck with a partial view of the sea, a loose standing braai and table, an enclosed living area, kitchen and two rooms sharing a bathroom. The third room with its own bathroom is completely separate from the main part. Rika and her husband were very helpful hosts and I can attest that they do their best to make their guests feel right at home.

Had a very relaxing night at this property and host is extremely welcoming. Very safe area and quiet prestine beach around the corner!
