You can spend your days enjoying the wide beach. Take a walk and see all the birds that enjoy Harbor Island as well as dolphins playing close to shore. Walk down Harbor Drive and observe the osprey and egrets and you may spot a family of turtles and even an alligator (behind a large fence). Hunting Island State Park is just 2 miles away with wide beach, wooded trails, lighthouse, nature center and fishing pier. There are many golf courses in the area where you can call for tee time, the closest being Fripp Island, only four miles away. Since the historic town of Beaufort is only twenty minutes away, you can drive in for lunch or dinner and to walk through the lovely streets admiring the gracious homes and shopping in the unique shops and galleries.
