The apartment is very run down and has no updates at all. Appliances are mostly very old. There’s no dishwasher and not even a coffee maker. It smells of a strong scent that seems to be masking a smoke smell from someone having smoked there at some point. There was no hot water in bathroom or kitchen sink only in the shower. The place and neighborhood has a very dreary vibe. The ad indicates that there’s lake access but when inquired Caroline said it was 10 minutes away by car. I feel this misleading. I didn’t have a car and was very disappointed in the area. I stayed in another AirBnB nearby which was less than half the price and much nicer and updated. I rarely give a bad review but this place is seriously overpriced for what you get.

Sadly we had a miserable stay. We were supposed to stay 6 nights but had to leave after the first night as the heating wasn’t working. Check-in wasn’t straight forward as the instruction wasn’t very clear. I’d entered the code and was struggling to open the door only to be told that once you enter the entry code and keypad light turns green, you have to open the key box to retrieve a key. When I contacted the host about the heating not working, she explained that the heaters are “night storage heaters” and that the heating’s main switch mustn’t be switched off - this info contradicts her house rules of asking guests to switch everything off. Not sure when the host actually last visited the property, her place needs maintenance- the bathroom is moldy. We had to sleep huddled in one room heating was working properly. Bedroom carpet had some red nail clippings 🙈 Caroline seems like a nice lady & the house was quiet, so I’m sorry for the bad review but it was v stressful experience
