Only stayed one night on Birds Isle, but it was very nice. The cabana was very comfortable and clean. The related Birds Isle restaurant was great and just a short walk from the cabana. I would recommend this spot for either a short stay or something longer.

Vince and Felicia were warm hosts and were very responsive and communicative. FYI to those not familiar with the area, although this location sits in the coast of Belize there are no accessible beach fronts. The only other negative aspect of the experience was not related to the AirBnB itself but rather to the recommended tour guide. “Big John Tours” was recommended and unfortunately was overpriced and disappointing. The guide quoted us specific pricing for activities and then the morning of when we were on the way he informed us that the price did not include the actual tours themselves which resulted in over $300 of additional costs we weren’t prepared for. His knowledge of Mayan ruin sites was also very limited and frequently incorrect (after fact checking). In short there were many aspects of his business that were unprofessional and when I provided feedback about our dissatisfaction he was only defensive and stated I owed him an apology. Felicia was empathetic and apologized.

A very cool space in Belize city, secluded enough to forget the busy city is behind you. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. If you are staying in Belize City, this is the place!

Birds isle was a great overnight spot before we headed out to other areas of Belize! Staff was super friendly and very responsive.
