Escensia nativa seems to be a very special place and it’s worth doing an extended stay. You are so close to the sea, you feel connected to nature and to the people around you. I recommend sunrise / sunset with an ocean view. There are great amenities and lots to do - the staff will help you organise trips out to the local waterfalls, the volcano, and in-house you can organise Spanish lessons, surf lessons, breathwork and yoga classes, Salsa, and ice baths. After all this activity, the hammocks / loungers were perfect for relaxing and reading at the hottest point of the day. The people I met are really sociable. Not far is El Tunco with night life buzz. Highly recommend here as a base for holidaymakers or people who are travelling. A special mention to Alex the owner and Nesse who gave me surf tips and helped me overcome some fear and bad habits with surfing - they both have beautiful souls and are patient, positive teachers.

Alex is a fantastic host who will make sure your stay is awesome. The staff is super attentive and personal. The property us perfectly located for surfers.

For me, top priority is the distance to the beachside when choosing the accomodation. This place was right next to the beach and you only need to walk for about 2 to 5minutes to get to the beach where you can swim and do sunbathing. I stayed here only for one night and I’m already regretting a lot. I will visit here again. The breakfast was so delicious and served well. The best part, having breakfast with the oceanview. It was quiet at night and I could sleep well and relax. Only issue for me was wifi cus it wasn't stable in my room.

My stay was okay at esencia nativa. I personally would prefer to stay in El Tunco as it is more livelier and fun. El Zonte beach is really rocky but esencia nativa is in a good location and quiet. Pretty sunrises and sunsets. Breakfast was okay. The rooms were clean. The main issue I had was that I chose this because it said unlimited wifi was available and instead there was no internet at all so I ended up wasting more money to buy internet back at home to use and work. Communication also took forever for questions to be answered or weren’t answered at all through the app.
