This is a log cabin with one room plus shower room. The main room holds a king-sized bed, sitting area and kitchenette. Outside there is a deck/porch, part of which is covered and a small lawn area. There is an outside table and two chairs, an easy chair, sun lounger a boot box and portable bar-b-q supplied. This is a log cabin with one room plus shower room. The main room holds a king-sized bed, bedside units, two chairs, TV with DVD, wardrobe, shelves, and a kitchen area with sink, cupboards, microwave, portable two ring electric hob and fridge. The shower room, also has loo, basin and heated towel rail. Towels, linen, crockery and cooking utensils are provided. Outside there is a deck/porch, part of which is covered and a small lawn area. There is an outside table and two chairs, an easy chair, sun lounger a boot box and portable bar-b-q supplied.

I know the area well so the location was perfect. Sadly on our day of travel my husband became ill - our travel was delayed and then we had to cancel our plans altogether. Suzie was incredibly kind during that time and went above and beyond to help and support during a difficult 24 hours. I would recommend Suzie and her Stuga to anyone visiting North Cornwall. The Atlantic winds may blow cold at times, but I am sure you will receive a warm welcome with Suzie.

Great, cozy and beautiful cabin for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The place is cute and quirky and the surroundings are beautiful. It has everything you need. Suzie was great, so nice and very helpful. She gifted us some homemade bread, butter and jam. Delicious! Plus loved the animals and her art. We’ll definitely come back.

If I could give this a 6* then I would. From the moment we arrived, we felt so comfortable with Suzie. The Stuga is totally wonderful. No faults at all. Everything you need, and the most comfortable bed. Beautiful and tranquil, just what we needed and had hoped for. Stayed for 10 days but would have stayed longer if hubby didn’t need to return to work. Totally recommend staying here, and worth every penny. We will return again. Thank you Suzie, for accommodating us. We totally loved it. 😊

The Stuga is perfectly situated for those who love to walk and who love Cornwall. The nearby is a footpath through woods leads up to Delabole and to Delabole slate quarry where you can get a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. During the spring the woods are carpeted with a mass of bluebells. Just a few miles away is the beautiful north Cornish coast and also Bodmin moor. Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Polzeath beach are all within easy reach. The nearby village of St.Teath is just a mile away. A pleasant walk up the lane brings to its busy café, a village shop and local pub.

Welcome to our stunning little retreat. We are your hosts, Suzie and Doug. We have lived in Cornwall for 30 years and moved here to The Mill in 2016. Previously the house and the large garden had been my parents’ home for 25 years. When they bought it The Mill was a derelict water mill which they converted into a beautiful family home. Since moving here we have been busy renovating the mill and the log cabin to make our lovely home our haven. My mother having been partly Swedish has been the inspiration for the Scandinavian theme and the name for this comfortable cosy cabin now known as “The Stuga”. The Stuga has been recently renovated to a very high standard and we hope staying in it will allow guests to fall in love with this area as we have done. I am a sculptor and am lucky enough to work from home in my little studio. I sculpt animals from mice to elephants and you will see my sculpture displayed around the grounds. We are both artistic people with a passion for all nature.
