The host’s mother made our stay much more bearable. She lives directly next door. She was the most kind, selfless person I have met! She helped us in every way possible and made it easier to navigate the island. The location of the home is not as accessible to the city area of Barbados where most of the activities, safe beaches, and fun are. The beach located in the home is not safe to swim at. In fact, while my fiancé and I were attempting to swim, The man who owns the surf shop warned us to get out of the water, as it is only a beach for very experienced surfers and swimmers, as the undercurrent is very dangerous. In addition, the amount of sea moss in the water is quite painful, even to dip your feet in. The home was beautiful but there is only one AC unit located in the front room and it does not have the capacity to cool the entire room, let alone the house, which came as an inconvenience due to the hot, sticky weather. The unit also shuts off everyday and the host’s mother has the remote, so everyday we would have to get back early enough to ask her to turn it on again. If you are looking for something more modern and updated, this home is not for you. The airport is a 20-25 minute drive away if you use a taxi. If you go by bus it is 35-45 minutes. The Bridgetown Area is 35-50 minutes away by bus. The public transportation is unreliable and unprofessional, as a lot of bus drivers would pull over and complete personal business (stopping for food, drinks, friends, etc.) before you arrive at your destination. This is why I will say the area is so inaccessible. You have to rely on public transportation because there is no “address” to the actual home, and it is a headache to explain to a driver how to get there. We spent about $14-$21BDS a day on public transportation to get us to a nice beach and the city area. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOME FOR LIGHT SLEEPERS! The host’s mother has two dogs, as does every house surrounding the listed one. The next door neighbor has about 4 goats and 4 baby goats. They all scream and bark and make tons of noise at night making it very very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, I would not stay here again solely based off the inaccessibility it is to the city and the feeling of unsafeness at night. The host’s mother warned us every night not to go out at night because the neighborhood is unsafe. The “night” begins around 6-7pm when it gets dark out Take this into consideration when booking.

A really nice place! Everything what you need. Close to silver rock kite beach. Miss Sergent was really sweet and helpful! Only downside is that there can be a bit noise during the night, when you got the windows open. Would recommend everyone to book it, great value for money!

Nice and clean house with all necessary equipment. Landlord and neighbors extremely friendly. Close to Silver Sands Beach (3min walk) and 1 min to bus station.

Debería esclarecer mejor la dirección del alojamiento, además de eso la resolución de problemas se debe hacer de manera educada y mantener siempre la cordura ante cualquier situación, máxime si se viaja con familia que fue este el caso donde también había un menor y se viajó por temas de salud
