We had a wonderful stay! The property was very peaceful with amazing views. We also saw quite of few deer and enjoyed listening to the birds. The guesthouse was fully equipped and we really appreciated the nice coffee setup. If we’re ever on Whidbey again we hope to come back!

Peaceful is the one word I would use to describe this place. Imagine a beautiful home in a serene forest surrounded by majestic trees with sweeping views of the water and mountains and eagles flying around in front of you - that is what you get when you stay at Bird’s Eye. It’s a very private location without feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere - you feel a sense of security with a gate to get into the property and automatic outdoor lighting around the house. From the initial messages to final check out, we were happy with the entire experience with Amhara. With any rental, there is a “settling-in” stage that takes some time to navigate but Bird’s Eye had a detailed manual about the area and house, labels for all the light switches and instructions/tips on how to use every appliance and machine in the house so we settled in pretty quickly and the relaxation started almost immediately! I wish every Airbnb experience could be like this!

Bird's Eye was more than it promised to be. photos truly do not do it justice: It is immaculately designed inside, yes—with every necessary amenity (plus some unnecessary but delightful ones like farm-fresh eggs!), clear labeling and instructions, and thoughtful touches to make it feel like home—but to be truthful, it's the setting that sets this home apart. it's nestled off a dead-end road that's off a dead-end road, perched atop a rolling grass hill with a sheep farm in the foreground and sweeping views of the ocean and Cascade mountains in the background. It's silent—unless you count the occasional sounds of bald eagles or deer softly grazing on the hill. A gated entrance and automatic lighting help the space feel safe, even at night. regardless of the time of day Bird's Eye creates one feeling: peace.

My 9yo son and I stayed at Bird’s Eye for a few nights to wrap up his Spring Break. We found the house to be perfect for our visit to Whidbey Island, so clean and comfortable, relaxing and well appointed. The house had everything we needed, clear & helpful (hand-written) instructions for use of all amenities, and so many thoughtful details made our stay extra special. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful views of Mt. Baker, the luxurious shower with multiple shower heads, the excellent coffee making set-up, and the farm fresh eggs, produce, cream and beverages left for our use. Amahra was very responsive and helpful with tips for how best to enjoy the island, even checking in to make sure we were enjoying our visit. We look forward to our next visit to Whidbey Island and another peaceful stay at Bird’s Eye.
