This is a great location for a family vacation. You are a few minutes away from Banner Elk in one direction and Beach Mountain in the other. The house has lots of space for relaxing and socializing. They have a wonderful fire pit, hot tub and games that our family enjoyed. We were very grateful that the family shared their vacation home with us and will look forward to visiting again.

Great location to sugar mountain and restaurants. The place was clean and plenty of room. It was a pretty view. We would definitely stay again!

It was our favorite place we’ve stayed in the area. Place was huge and it was a beautiful home. We saw a group of 11 deer, gorgeous views, private, and well stocked. Easy to get to Sugar and Beech for snowboarding. Amanda was extremely responsive to questions we had. Downtown is a quick drive away — not quite walkable from the home but not any issue. The downstairs entertainment room had a kitchen and was like a separate apartment. We navigated the driveway fine, even in our FWD SUV, leaving in the snow. Informational books and instructions were clear, and there were plenty of local recommendations. A+++

Amanda's place was cozy with plenty of space for a large family with multiple generations. We were able to spread out and enjoy games, television, hot tub, the koi pond, the balcony views of wild life and family meals. The location was great to head into downtown Banner Elk or about a 30-45 drive to Blowing Rock, Grandfather mountain, hiking trails of Linville Falls, Linville Caverns etc. Amanda was very helpful with a quick response to any questions. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
