Had an amazing stay at the Lodge on the green! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. The 2 gorgeous dogs who visited us upon our arrival was an added bonus. Thank you for making our stay feel like a home away from home and an overall relaxing weekend. Would also definitely recommend visiting The Firehouse for the pizzas and such a wide range of drinks!

On arrival the host had seen us and drove past us. There was a a note about two friendly dogs and children which was absolutely fine. As we entered the premises we had been approaches by one friendly Labrador followed by a much larger more aggressive dog which continually barked and growled at me. There was two very young children on the premises aswell with no adults present to take control of the situation. One of the dogs had been very aggressive to the point I thought I was going to get bit, whilst I tried to obtain the key from the keybox. One of the children finally called the dogs back, initially they did not listen. We couldnt get the thermostat to work and messaged the host, who didnt respond. The wifi was down and signal is non existent. The sliding door fell off the hinge as it was missing a bolt, missing my partner who was sitting behind it and injuring my hand. There was dog excrement all over the floor. No recognition or apology given by host. Very unprofessional!

We had a lovely stay, all was as described, the Fireside pub was a stones throw away which was great, and it was really nice. We had great communication from the owner. The hot tub was a little over looked by the main house but not so bad we were overly bothered and people did walk past from the air b&b at the bottom of the property but it does mention this on the listing. The lovely windows opposite the mezzanine level did mean it was very light in the morning! Overall we had a nice stay. Thank you.

Lovely place, the Firehouse was great and we spent both nights there and some time during the day to work. The only slight downside of our stay was little to no WiFi, which impacted using smart TV, phones etc. However, we are remote workers so good WiFi is important to us and may not be for others! Kate was helpful in trying to solve the issue though - didn’t see any other reviews mention slow WiFi so may of just been a temporary blip. The hot tub was a really nice one and super easy to use. Overall an enjoyable time.
