Lin and Jim are fabulous hosts. Their home is gorgeous with a million dollar plus view onto a bay area. The house is spacious with plenty of room for a larger group. It is very bright and well decorated with many novelties and treasures. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean and welcoming. With the windows open, gentle, cool breezes come off the ocean and everything smells so fresh! The yard is expansive and well set-out, with beautiful landscaping, chairs, tables, and interesting pieces of art. You only have to walk out the backdoor and you are at the beach. When the tide is in, the ocean is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming, and not too deep for kid-safety! Lin and Jim provided us with blow-up floats, 2 high-end kayaks, and a paddle board. When the tide is out, the ocean floor is perfect for exploring! We spent many hours enjoying the beach. The home is centrally located between Nanoose and Parksville, and although it is in a quiet and secluded neighborhood, it is easy to find and minutes away from all amenities, including shopping, dining and recreation, such as golf. Overall, we loved our two week stay and look forward to coming back (although, I know that when you read this review, we will have more competition for bookings). I have already recommended this home to a work colleague! By the way, Lin and Jim are lovely people to deal with, and my husband really enjoyed a visit with them. We'd love to try their other homes too!

This is just a magical place! We truly had a fantastic time in Nanoose bay. Our family came tot visit us for a week and so the house of Lin and Jim was the ideal place for the stay. Lin and Jim are such nice people! From the moment we booked it, Lin helped us out with the ferry, gave us a lot of information and some tips to do and see in the area. They welcomed us when we first arrived and showed us around. Also after that, I could easily ask any questions to Lin via mail and she would respond immediately. When we forgot a bag on our way home, Lin was super nice and offered to send it to us. Thank you so much for that! The house is great and spacious and the view is just stunning! We often used the BBQ and kayaks and walked for hours at the beach. We enjoyed many nights sitting on the beach with a fire and the sound of seals. It is truly a magical place! Thank you Lin and Jim for this experience!!

We were warmly welcomed by Lin and Jim and shown around. The house is in an ideal location for relaxation, and has lots of space. We especially enjoyed eating outside and exploring Craig Bay with the kayaks. Additional kayaks can be rented from the resort a few hundreds of metres to the east. Great views of the islands. Hosts were very supportive to solve any house issues.

This is a beautiful space, full of light and comfort, and we spent five weeks staring out at a changing landscape of sea, sky and clouds. The garden takes you straight out onto the beach. Seals popped up, and even a family of sea otters trotted past us from the lawn. At low tide you can walk for miles. Mary, who managed the house, was lovely and helpful. A perfect holiday!

The location is stunning, as seen in the pictures. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed the beach, the kayaks and the walks around the area. Our host was welcoming and quick to answer any questions we had. The baths and bedrooms were clean. The house gets water from a well, and it has a strong smell. It's ok for washing, but the smell of esp. hot water is not pleasant. Although apparently safe to drink, we were advised to stick to bottled water for drinking and cooking. The house has a water fountain (like those in some offices) with a 5-gallon tank that you can refill at a local grocery store. The kitchen is a bit dated, and esp. the dishwasher could be replaced. The pantry and the laundry room could use a good cleaning.
