Our stay at Richard and Marti's place was really wonderful! It is clear that the comfort and enjoyment of their guests is a top priority. When we arrived Richard was there to tell us how everything worked and answer any questions. As we settled in, we found many special treats had been provided in the frig and cabinet which were much appreciated! The suite itself is private, spacious and clean.... bed, very comfortable....bathroom supplied with everything you might need....and the view of the lovely garden and the ocean beyond....spectacular!! The location is very convenient to Port Douglas but out of the noise and bustle of town! We enjoyed the multiple varieties of birds that are attracted to this area. If you stay here you must try Ricardo's pizza one night - super tasty and it really hits the spot after a long day sightseeing! We also appreciated Richard setting up the BBQ for us to use and the special bonfire for our last night was just over the top! Highly recommend!!
What a view to wake up from and what a formidable hosts Richard & Marti are. Perfect start to our Queensland trip. The BBQ, self brewed beer and Richard’s fire show were very fun extra’s ;-)
Relaxing, private, quiet, good views, easy access, well appointed, comfortable holiday environment. Location fabulous, parking good. Extra treats and bonfire display really thoughtful and unique. Facilities great and bed very comfortable. Highly recommend this b&b for a great stay.
Staying at Richard and Marti’s airbnb was one of the best ideas we had during our holidays in FNQ. The hosts were so welcoming and did nicely offered delicious fruits and a homemade beer for us to have a beautiful arrival. There were many special details you’ll notice too (like beach towels, everything to set a bbq, plenty of pillows etc… that makes this airbnb looks like the perfect relaxing one). Also, the great shower, the comfortable bed, the peaceful view of the garden and the wonderful birds singing all along your stay will for sure amazed you. All those things made us enjoying our stay ! Richard was a very friendly host and always checked in with recommendations and offers of assistance. He even repaired our bag that had a hole in it! The place was beautiful- cozy yet elegant. And only a short walk from the amazing beach!

Your Hosts Richard & Marti have lived on this Oak Beach property for over 20 years and call it home. No over development, no light pollution, no noise pollution other than what Mother Nature offers, free flowing tropical flora and fauna, panoramic skyscape and Coral Sea views and steps from beautiful secluded beaches. Having enjoyed the property for all these years Richard & Marti want to share it with others, considering it a true tropical experience with complete privacy from the hustle and bustle commonly found in resorts or larger accommodation facilities found in Port Douglas or Cairns. Thus the development of SEAVIEWS Oak Beach. Richard & Marti are fond of saying: “Close enough to Cairns and Port Douglas but yet in a tropical world of its own that exhibits the best of this TNQ (Tropical North Queensland) experience. Originally Richard & Marti are from Novato, California and moved to Oak Beach Australia in 1998. They manage a successful Internet business marketing for accommodation providers and know the ins and outs of providing a great ‘home away from home’ experience in the tropics. They live on site in the main house with their 2 cats, Miss M.O.E. (Majesty Of Everything) and Mr Neville Fluffbottom. They welcome you to their private piece of tropical paradise.
