The room is how it looks in the pictures. Walls are way too thin. Had a hard time sleeping on both nights. Check-in process was smooth.

I love Kirkwood, and I especially like how low key it is. I think it may be time to renovate this property, as it is in need and if it were more up to date, I would be more likely to book stays there. Kim was extremely helpful with our check in process; door codes, access, etc. She was outstanding. Any issue we had was with the out of date facilities, not with personnel. We are managing with the current COVID19 pandemic as best we can and wish you and all of your families safe and healthy passage through it all.

I'm giving this place a 3 star rating - mostly because of the great location to the slopes. The location is pretty great for access to both main lift areas at Kirkwood. Super convenient shuttle arrives out front frequently. If you really wanted to, you could walk. Because of ski week, we paid more than double the regular rate. We would have expected the room to at least be clean and have the basics. For example, we were missing 1 pillow case, there was no conditioner in the shower, there was a pair of underwear hanging in the closet when we arrived, the tray the dishes were on was sitting on dust. Also, the mattress on the pull out couch is very uncomfortable / old. We knew when we booked that the room is very small, but we were prepared for that based on the other reviews. We weren't prepared for the uncleanliness.

TL;DR: If you’re looking to rent this unit, consider reaching out to Pyramid Peaks to rent the adjoining unit as well. There is only a thin door between the two units and you can hear EVERYTHING next door, from full conversations to how many times your neighbor clinks his spoon to his coffee mug when stirring in sugar. Otherwise, this unit is cozy and clean. There is a mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and coffee pot which are good for basic microwaved meals and for keeping drinks and lunch meats cool. The communication channels are great and check-in was super easy. Additionally, the spot in the garage came in handy when packing up after snowy days!

Studio is a bit small for a four person family but is convenient near the mountain. If someone is staying in the adjacent room, you will hear their activity. As advertised, there is a toaster and microwave but no stovetop or pots to cook with. Make sure to request as many coffee filters as mornings you are there. Easy check in and check out. Open communication lines.
