This is a very special, one of a kind stay. The area is safe, quiet, and offers proximity to a nature trail. Alex provides unbeatable hospitality and communication to ensure your stay is comfortable. He and his staff were very accommodating and it was an immense pleasure of mine to get to know them. As you can clearly see the location and the views are unmatched. In a purely technical review, the space is a studio that essentially functions as a tiny house. You will have almost every amenity you would need, albeit much smaller! If you can handle being efficient with your space and living compact, then you can swing this. If there’s something that you feel is missing, Alex will most likely be able to provide you with it, however I seldom needed something that wasn’t made available to me. The kitchen and bathroom are a combined space. There is surprisingly a lot of storage space for its size! The bed is comfy and offers you amazing views while you rest. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and honestly really kicking myself for not staying longer!

I stayed here for two months in June and July. Alex is a very accommodating host who checks in on your needs and addresses any issues you may have very promptly. The view is absolutely amazing and I spent a lot of time bird watching and looking at the sunset from my room. All the amenities--wifi, heat, AC, washer/dryer--work great and are easy to use. Because this is a guest house, you will often run into Alex, his family, or his staff while coming in and out of the place, but they are all extremely friendly and nice so I didn't mind at all! Just may not be your thing if you are looking for total isolation. Also, there is no kitchen or sink other than the bathroom sink, but there are a lot of kitchenette materials like a mini-fridge, hot plate, microwave, cups, plates, etc. Overall it was a lovely stay--Thanks for having me, Alex!

This home is beyond incredible. I booked 3 months at this home and it was one of the greatest decisions I made. Alex is an amazing host and very reliable. He is always there for you if you need help with anything at any time. He went out of his way to get me an office chair since he noticed I was working from home. Alex and his family live in the house next to the guesthouse, and I would never hear any noise and I would rarely see them. But whenever I would see Alex, he was always very cheerful. The views of the ocean and city are incredible from the house and there is wildlife all around you. My favorite part of the guesthouse is that the windows completely open up which makes work a lot more enjoyable. A short 3 minute walk away you can go hike beautiful trails and get full panoramic views of LA/Ocean. Everything you need from pharmacies, groceries, gyms, etc are only 5 minutes away by vehicle. You can also be at the beach in 15 minutes. The neighborhood of Crestwood Hills is extremely safe. There's always plenty of space to park your vehicle. I highly recommend this place and I hope to stay here again in the future.

An amazing place to reset and calibrate. So grateful to Alex for sharing his pieces of paradise and making it accessible for guests. Woke up with sunrise each morning and wound down with the sunsets each night. Will not soon forget this experience and how transformative it has been over the past month. Alex goes above and beyond, is easily accessible yet allows your complete privacy. Would highly recommend. Close to the best of Brentwood yet feels tucked away above the hustle and bustle of LA.

This was an absolute dream of a stay. We took advantage of every single moment day and night and could not have asked for better hospitality and generosity. We will be back. Cheers!
