Very good place to stay in Katoomba, nice starting point to reach the blue mountains' hikes. As our first room was a bit smelly because of a guest, Keith kindly accepted to change and even upgrade our reservation, very fast, with any cost. We recommand this place :)!

Alles in allem ist es ein faires Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Das Bad hätte für mich etwas mehr Fürsorge gebraucht und das Gebäude ist einfach sehr alt, aber es hat seinen Charme. Die Lage ist wirklich super wenn man die Blue Mountains erkunden will. Bus und Bahn fast vor der Haustür, theoretisch ist aber so ziemlich alles hier auch fußläufig erreichbar (ca 30 Minuten bis zum Aussichtspunkt). Dazu kommt dass Keith und das Team wirklich ganz tolle Leute sind, man wurde sehr herzlich empfangen und konnte sich mit jedem Anliegen an ihn wenden, ganz toll! Eins meiner absoluten Highlights, nicht nur von diesem Aufenthalt sondern meiner ganzen Reise, war das Café “on the soul side” das sich im selben Gebäude befindet, inklusive Besitzer Dave und seinen (auch musikalischen) Gästen. Bester Kaffee und super leckere Toasts, auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! Insgesamt ist es ein sehr einfaches und altes Hotel mit ganz tollen Menschen in einer sehr guten Lage. Für ein paar Tage klar zu empfehlen 👍

very nice and affordable place to stay for a couple of days, and everything is at a walkable distance. the room was a bit dusty, but I didn't mind. the one thing that I didn't really like was that there were no lights in the men's bathroom (has lights but won't turn on), so it was hard to go to the toilet or shower without my phone's flash light. the corridor to my room did have a strong strange smell, but I got used to it. so, in conclusion, it's a bang for your buck and was a nice stay.

Was exactly what you paid for nothing too fancy but also Not bad. Might want to add another WiFi Access Point tho, because in the evenings IT was hardly working Sometimes.
