Our first time I arrive in uk with my wife she’s friendly welcome us with a smile and makes us feel at home like we’re in our Africa neighborhood also very helpful in making us get our accommodation in Sunderland and also we use her postal code to receive our bank debit card and after we left she still help us to receive some she’s very kind and makes us to feel at home
Barbara was always helpful and responsive, we only stayed one night but everything was good. The room was a good size and the bed was comfy, breakfast was good, it's nice to stay in someone's actual home. The shower was a touch quirky, but it worked. The house is up a long drive and nice and private, our car felt safe etc. Great value considering the very reasonable price. We brought our 18 month old son, who chose this as the location of his first ever full-on meltdown, but Barbara didn't seem phased or complain, so that was nice (though I wouldn't blame her if her listing now says "no children"!)

Barbara made us so welcome. Our room clean and the bed was really was comfortable. We had our own bathroom and shower. So peaceful and quiet. Barbara was really friendly and gave us some top tips for visiting the local area.

I am a retired maths teacher, living with my partner Steve in a small village 10 miles east of Durham I do a little private tuition in maths and am also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language. We host overseas students in our home, who come for lessons to improve their English Our interests include foreign travel and geocaching (a global high-tech treasure hunt game). We also like live music, our tastes include rock and Heavy Metal, our favourite band ever being Pink Floyd. We have used Airbnb as guests, having been introduced to the idea by my daughter who travels a lot and who has stayed with many interesting people. We love the idea of staying in someone's home and "meeting the locals", we are very friendly and sociable and look forward to making many new friends. And now we have the space to become hosts too and are looking forward to welcoming people to our home
