Every autumn we celebrate the fall by going to see the leaves, and the Berkshires is one of our favorite areas to visit. Staying at the beautifully restored and gorgeously decorated Hartfield House only enhanced the experience. The historic home is full of charm and sweater weather warmth. It is surrounded by well kept grounds that our Pomeranian had a ball dashing through every morning prior to the lovely breakfast that Alicia would have waiting for us in the light drenched sunroom. After a full day of hiking, vintage shopping, leaf peeping and dining at local farm-to-table restaurants, there is always the cozy TV room to retire to and relax with a glass of wine. We really enjoyed our stay---it's country living at its best!

We had a marvelous time staying at Alicia’s gorgeous farmhouse. It was a last minute trip and she was very accommodating; even when we were late arriving. Beautiful breakfast on the screened in porch, very accommodating with books for our 3 1/2 year old, and letting us share some time with her beautiful golden retriever, who was so much fun to pet and play with. We would definitely love to stay here again and enjoy the space more because they’ve done a fantastic job at restoring this beauty. Thank you!!

Alicia was welcoming, thoughtful, and accommodating! Left dog treats for our dog and a beautiful breakfast for us in the morning. Room and home were lovely places to stay! 10/10.

What a lovely stay in a beautifully & sympathetically restored New England home. From the moment we arrived Alicia made us feel right at home. The bed was so comfortable with soft feather duvet & pillows, so real home from home. It was great to relax in the deep cast iron Victorian tub after a day out exploring and then lying on the humongous velvet sofa in the snug to watch a movie on Netflix pre bed. Breakfast was served in the sunny morning room overlooking the fields. Breakfast was fresh baked muffins /croissants /rock cakes with jams. Also delicious ripe fruits. We were lucky enough to meet the dog one morning too - she’s a very calm darling who loves a belly rub. This house is on a quiet road very close to (a few minutes drive) a local distillery & tap room, we stopped off for an IPA one day and it was delicious. We briefly visited Sheffield town which is very quiet with some nice architecture. Great barrington just a few minutes up the road has nice shops & restaurants, we especially loved the cheese monger there.
