Had a great relaxing weekend at Jane and Steve’s place! My partner and I were passing through on route to our new digs for work and couldn’t have picked a better spot to stay over! Will definitely be back with a larger group once restrictions are lifted.

Great place in a great location. Well equipped house, thoroughly enjoyedour stay, struggled to kerp the daughter out of the hot tub!

Family of 5 (three kids: 21, 13 and 11) plus a dog. This place is amazing and entirely weatherproofs your stay as there's so much to do inside and so much space if the weather plays up. The hot tub and sauna were fabulous, the table tennis table, games area, garden and living areas were all used to the max. And there were only 5 of us plus the dog, which made it extra special with so much room and so much to do. For those with dogs, there's several local walks including one along the river which was fab. Dumfries is 25 mins away in the car. We visited twice for Moat Brae and a walk around the shops. More there than we thought there'd be. I also drove back there 2 nights out of 4 to pick up take aways - there's loads to chose from. Thornhill is only 2 miles away and easy for those essentials. Jane and Steve are great hosts. Really helpful and excellent comms leading up to stay and during it. We even saw Steve out on a walk, where he managed to correct a wrong turn we'd taken which could have left us walking for hours! The family and I had a fantastic time here. Following an earlier review, we too had a bash at the 6 minute full fry up using the Rational cooker. It doesn't disappoint. Thanks again to Jane and Steve.
