Lovely house, plenty of cooking utensils, 10 minutes from beach, just a shame about the weather
Position of house brilliant and amount of rooms/bathrooms was perfect for our needs. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property was poor, as we found sweet wrappers down the side of one bed, the kitchen had some stains on surfaces and something had been wasted down the bin. The door of the oven was also loose and numerous flies came into one bedroom when the window was opened. Just a few updates would be beneficial, like new curtains, new dining room chairs and maintenance to the decking area. We paid top end prices and would expect the property to reflect this. We did however have an enjoyable stay as a family.
This is a lovely property and matches the description. The open plan downstairs living was easy to use and the playroom was really popular with our 2 young grandchildren with lots of toys to enjoy. Upstairs the bedrooms and bathrooms are of a high standard. The hot tub worked well and was regularly maintained during our stay. The location is within easy walk of the beach and the local village and pub which served great food. The team at Choice Cottages gave excellent service and support and answered any small questions we had. overall a lovely family week away despite the Devon rain!

Croyde is a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. Rock pools are in abundance and dunes a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volley ball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery. This classic 'chocolate-box' village is steeped in old-world charm and echoes the feeling of life in Britain in times gone by. Coastal and Countryside walks include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond.

A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great. Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.
DRIVE TO
explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.
