Make sure you know how to get there after the train instructions that are sent. What bus number? more information would be helpful. Breakfast is very basic - 2 cereals & milk. Filter coffee good. Shops & bar across the road Room was basic eg no bedside lighting, no art but clean linen. Bathrooms opposite segregated according to sex but no door from hallway. You can’t help seeing people brushing teeth etc when walking past & some had very little clothing on. Seating areas but tv is turned off at the early hour of 10pm even if you are watching it, meaning you have to go to your room. TV has Mr Bean which is humorous & no sound but it was stuck for 3 days on 1 programme. When you get there you pay a key deposit $100 in case of room damages, but when you leave staff told us it could take 2 weeks to be returned! We would stay again realising it is a budget choice

Great place to stay, especially South Buona Vista area. Had some unpleasant moments while asking for Room service, but thats a people issue, not on the hotel/services fetched. Best value for the buck. However prepare your minds/knees because there aint any lifts for going up.

The location is pretty nice and the guesthouse itself is really clean. The communication in advance is not all clear but they're reachable most of the time for questions. I had a different room from what was pictured on AirBnB: very small, no windows, and no desk (despite clearly stating I would need that for work...). I was full of bedbug bites the first two days after arrival, asked them to clean the room properly and change the bedsheets and so they did. Still got some bites the days after but it was less. Guests can do laundry for a price (5$ for washing and 5$ for drying). The weekly cleaning of my room was good and personnel was kind. The walls between rooms are hollow so you can hear everything in the rooms next to you and people in my hallway were quite loud even in the middle of the night (1am, 4 am,...). They planned renovation works during my stay there and gave me a letter of notice (to clean the fridge and not being able to do laundry) on the day they would start... They also state there is a shared kitchen, but except for a water boiler and a microwave nothing is available. Overall the stay was ok, it is a clean place in general but quite busy and loud.

After a room issue when I arrived, Joyce proposed me an other hotel to stay. The stay was very pleasant. A kind of upgrade regarding what I have booked 🙂
