It was on a beautiful piece of property. The porch was wonderful to relax on. Loved feeding Ginger every morning although I would not consider her a "riding" horse. A welcome book would have been really helpful. Being from the midwest, it was unexpected to find the freezer outside. Information on how to operate the freezer and heating/air conditioning system would have been helpful. It was a perfect place to unplug (cause the internet doesn't work after 9pm) from the rest of the world and see the sites of Louisiana.

It is official, I want to move out to the country, buy a horse, and have a barn. This was such a neat get-away for our family. We enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom. We cuddled around on a cold night and chatted away. The next evening, we enjoyed the firepit off the sliding glass doors (it was in the 30's!). The kitchen has all you could need - spices, paper plates, and plenty of cutlery. I stayed upstairs in the loft and was super cozy. The beds were VERY comfortable and we all slept well. Feeding the horse and rooster was a special experience I never have (city dweller). We felt right at home. Getting there is tricky at first as it is a large area of land with various homes tucked away, but Una made herself available in need of any direction. Covington is just 10 minutes away and I12 is right there as well for easy exit.

Historic home on a beautiful piece of property. The home was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The large windows in the living room gave the feel of being outside while you enjoy the comforts of being indoors. Plenty of room for multiple people and had everything we needed to enjoy our time away from home.
