A lovely, relaxing place to stay. Very cosy and clean with everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Very short walk to the pub that serves a great meal. Lovely walks surround the property with many beautiful historic buildings.

The location of the property was fantastic very close to the beautiful pub in town. We loved the undercover Veranda and the big tree. Very cozy cottage. Would need a few mouse traps around the place. The fridge needs replacing/repairing as it constantly dripped water all over what was inside. Oven and a hot plate is not working. Overall well equipped for a few nights stay.

Lovely area, a few things to consider when booking there is another room just up where others are able to stay, my partner and i were in aware of this and were a little shocked when we saw other people in the area.

Jolly's Rest would be a good place to stay in winter. Just imagine curling up on the Chesterfield lounges in front of the wood fire. Nice :) We stayed on a couple of hot days so we did not use the fireplace. The location in Mintaro is serene and only a 2-minute walk to the Magpie and Stump, which offers delicious meals. There is also Rielly's Winery across from the Maggie. From Jolly's Rest, many of Clare Valley's wineries are within a 15-minute drive. On the plus side - The accommodation had good cooking facilities, coffee, tea, sugar and milk, plus basic toiletries and a large bathroom. There is a good supply of power-points and plenty of pillows. On the negative side - The bed was a little too hard for me, and there were some cobwebs inside and lots on and around the front door. Also, we had a problem with the phone signal. We are with Optus and had very little service.
