When I asked for the fire escape from my room I was answered if the night person judged the situation as an emergency I would be guided out. Since the inside is very much like a labyrinth O was worried as my room was on the 3rd floor with a tiny window, I ended up finding the dedicated escape stairs right below the stairs between the 2nd and the 3rd floor cause the entrance stairs are across the building. I felt safer then. Otherwise it is a cool place in a cool neighborhood but compared to hostels in Europe it is a downgrade. The beds are flimsy and my mattress was crushed in the middle. I could see some others were ticket. Overall an ok stay. No coffee as the evening guy said I could find maybe in the kitchen when I came down in the morning..

It's decent for what you pay; you get what you pay for. Pros: The bathroom was clean and the room itself was OK and had some storage space.Location is good and close to public transportation, roughly 30 min on the tram to union station. The bed was decent and there is a large common area. Cons: It can be quite loud. There are 2 flights of steep stairs so no idea if you have something heavy. The host did not respond when I texted them; the number is for a landline I suppose. If you arrive after 10 pm you have to wait for someone to let you in because there is no other way to get in.
