Several comments: 1) Communication was not good and I am partly at fault for that. I was forced to change my phone number due to a hacker and forgot to update my Airbnb account so if the host texted me, I did not receive it. However, he tried to reach me by email on the day of arrival to ask me what time I was arriving. I was driving to NY from 6 hours away after work, so I didn't receive the email until after I arrived. I didn't check my email because I had sent an email two weeks prior asking about the parking situation and never heard back from him either by email or by airbnb messaging. 2) The webpage had instructions stating that check-in was self check-in and provided specific instructions on how to enter the property and which room was assigned to me. That was part of the reason I never notified him of arrival time because the webpage implied that a host was not going to be present. I tried to open the door as instructed by the webpage only to find his mother was there with a very large german shepherd. Friendly dog but I was surprised. This was not mentioned on the webpage at all. 3) As already mentioned, I had sent an email weeks before asking about the parking situation which was advertised as parking available on site. When I asked about the parking spots on site, I was told by his mother that they were not available for my use. Would have been useful to know ahead of time when I was planning my trip. 4) . The house was clean. The room I was instructed to sleep in was not on the first floor as advertised on the webpage. It was on the 2nd floor facing the street. It was very noisy probably due to poor insulation. I could hear everyone on the sidewalk chatting and every car that passed by on the road that night. The sheets appeared clean but smelled moldy. 5) I left a day early and rented a hotel room as I did not feel that I would be able to get the rest I needed.

The place is in a peaceful location. The room is sparkling clean and the host provides a coffee maker in the room which is really good. They are really helpful. Just that the bathroom needs a bit more cleaning.

I was at us Open and the location is comfortable for visiting every day. I liked the district more. Kabak and his family are very helpful, kind and always trying to help. They have a big dog and I was always afraid of him :) They open the door at any time whenever I come. Metro is very close and there are a number of Russian speaking stores what I liked too.
