Even better than the photos... The house has 360 degree views of the mountains, the garden is huge with a gorgeous natural pond, the house has everything you need and more, is cosy and warm, and is right over the road from the beautiful RSPB reserve which has a gorgeous trail to the Loch as well as shorter walks that would work brilliantly for younger children. We saw red squirrels and deer as well as an amazing number of birds and evidence of beavers. We also saw a hare from the garden! We drove to Balmaha and enjoyed a great circuit walk there, as well as a pint at the Oak Tree Inn, took the paddleboard out from Rowardennan to an island with loads of kittiwakes on it

The house is wonderful, with amazing views which was exactly what we were looking for. Karen and James were great hosts, really responsive and proactive. There were really clear directions and so it was really easy to find. The location was perfect, beautiful walk to Loch Lomond through the RSPB nature reserve. The only reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars was because the preference about not having the dog in the lounge was not shown on the listing and this along with the notes about hot water and electric use guidance just made it a little less relaxing than it could have been. James did say that we could take our dog in the lounge but we were so worried about him damaging anything we decided against it. We would definitely come back though and would recommend it to others.

Das Cottage von Karen und James ist wirklich ein Traum. Wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt! So liebevoll eingerichtet und tipptopp sauber! Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Klare Empfehlung!!
