Just back from a wonderful long weekend at Jacqui’s amazing home. From the moment we arrived it felt like home with added amazing views . Immaculate, comfortable, quiet and private; Jacqui had thought of everything (and I’m an exacting AirBnBer). The welcome gifts of wine, crisps and biscuits were thoughtful and we wanted for nothing throughout our stay. It was the owners lodge whilst their own house was being built next door and the quality and comfort is reflected. Jacqui met us on arrival and gave us several great recommendations. Top tip - if walking up Conic Hill walk from Milton of Buchanan, an easier climb although very steep heading down into Balmaha - watch your step. Don’t bother with The Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha - v slow service and meh food. The Clachan Inn at Drymen is a must. Also the butchers in the village is fab. We have booked to return again next year and are already planning our hikes in the area. Thank you again to Jacqui for a wonderful stay.

Enjoyed our stay here. Was so relaxing and beautiful location, loved listening to the birds and wildlife at night it was so peaceful. The lodge was beautiful and very cosy/homely and had all the necessary facilities including dishwasher and washing tablets. Beds were also very comfortable and plenty of cupboard space in both rooms. Also made use of the bbq but which was a great wee place to chill out in with loads of cosy blankets/cushions. Highly recommend.

De lodge is erg mooi gelegen. Goed en sfeervol gemeubileerd en aangekleed. BBQ hut is erg leuk!

We had a lovely couple of days here. The location is stunning and so peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean and Jacqui provided everything you could possibly need. Really enjoyed the BBQ hut and it was much more fun than eating out. Thanks Jacqui for sharing your beautiful place with us.
