The property was so spacious and very well presented. The beds upstairs were very comfy and there is an additional double bed downstairs. We had prompt check in instructions in the morning from Tom and we checked in a little earlier, which was super helpful. We had an issue with the internet, which remained unresolved throughout our 2 days there. Tom read the message but did not reply. We appreciate there are problems but would have been nice to have a reply. Some people may love the lack of internet and 4G just to get away from this. But we had some work commitments and a teenager in tow! Lovely local restaurants and a good base for our family.

Lovely place, cleaners had just finished when we checked in so the place was spotless! Good location for nearby walks although car needed. Back garden wasn’t enclosed so had to keep an eye on the dog! Really spacious lodge inside good for bigger families groups. Would recommend

Host Unresponsive, despite giving his mobile number. As required, I contacted the host around 10am the day before arrival, to co- ordinate check in, give our arrival time. Using the Air BnB App. The property is not a lock box, but requires meet and greet from the host. I heard nothing back, so called again in the afternoon on the number given, left a message and gave my mobile number. No response from the host . By late evening , I hadn’t heard from the host. It was a 5-6 hour drive from my home, with my family, so I was unwilling to set off without any reassurance that the host would actually be there. I contacted Air BnB : " As promised, we've reached out to your Host, but we haven't received any response from them on the given deadline. In this case, can I go ahead and proceed with cancellation on your Hosts behalf? " I was issued with a full refund, but we lost missed out on our Scottish holiday. The Host needs to communicate reliably, otherwise please don't host.

We had a great stay at Foxglove cottage, brilliant location and a great big house for a family. Bit of wear & tear in general needing a bit of TLC but nice comfy beds and good kitchen. Only issue was there is no high chair as listed and didn’t get a reply from Gordon about one after checking in but wasn’t a major issue for us. Thanks for having us.
