Sunset Cove Cottage definitely deserves it's name as the sunsets are beautiful! Hosts are friendly and responsive. The cottage is comfortable and private with great views. It is close to several great restaurants. Wautoma is 15 minutes away for shopping. Swimming not so good off the dock, however, fishing right from the dock was great! We caught enough good-sized bluegill and sunfish for a fish fry. Sand bar across the lake was nice for swimming. A few glitches early on were resolved. Overall, this as a most enjoyable place to spend vacation!

My family had a wonderful time in Wild Rose. Our kids are 3, 7 , 11 and 13, and there was something there for everyone. The lake is perfect for them to be independent and explore in the kayaks. The older ones took a trip to the sandbar every day and had so much fun. The house was well-stocked with everything we need. We all got lots of rest and relaxation and had a blast.

The house and hospitality were fine. The lake was PERFECT for our family. Wilson Lake is not deep and has a sandy bottom. My 9 and 6 year old kiddos could touch all the way past the dock, which was great. The kayaks were really nice, as was the canoe, and saw a lot of use from us. We canoed out to a beach across the lake and out to the sandbar, the kids had a BLAST. We fished, and swam, and kayaked and canoed, and napped in the hammock, and played battleship on the deck, and grilled, and ate outside, and lived the lazy, lovely lake life we wanted. Do you know what we didn't struggle with? Bugs. We were out all day long, and into the evening I think I might have 1 mosquito bite and we sprayed a ton of sunscreen, NEVER TOUCHED our bug spray. That alone was pretty amazing right?!

We stayed here with 4 kids 2 and under and it suited our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the lakefront and kayaks and found the house spacious enough to fit all 3 families. The beds weren’t the most comfortable I’ve slept on so bad backs beware!

We had a great weekend getaway at this cozy cottage. It’s private and within driving distance of great restaurants and shops (Wautoma). Friendly owners and neighbors, great views, and clean!
