First Diafani stole our hearts as did the host’s father Niklas, who speaks Greek and French. He welcomed us on arrival, showed the apartment, explained what we wanted to know and more. The apartment is small, but comfortable, tidy, easy to clean, cool, nice shower, spacious seaview balcony. During our stay of 1 week the bedsheets and towels were changed, which was great. And on our last night Niklas came to say goodbye and had some nice herbs for us as a present, to remind us at home of Diafani. Well, we will never forget this place!!! We want to come again. And than we will have a meal together at his house, as we were invited, but we were just to busy relaxing ....

Sehr empfehlenswerte unterkunft, alles unproblematisch, der vater von john managed alles, treffpunkt ist im ort am ende der straße und führt dann zur unterkunft, alleine nicht zu finden, wir waren bereits das zweite mal dort, der beste und ruhigste platz auf der insel, lgz

Non si può che fare una recensione ottima: appartamento pulito e funzionale con una vista eccezionale all’alba...,Diafani è la vera Karpathos lontana dal turismo ossessivo di Pigadia. La famiglia di John -una Famiglia Greca con la F maiuscola!- è straordinaria nell’accoglienza e nell’assistenza.Tanti anni di viaggi e mai ho trovato qualcuno più desideroso di far stare bene i propri ospiti! You can’t write but an excellent review for this family!A clean and cosy flat with breathtaking sea view especially at the sunrise. Diafani is the authentic Karpathos, miles away from the cheap tourism in Pigadia! John’s Family - a great Greek Family with Capital F- is the best ever you can wish.After so long travelling around,they are definitely the greatest Hosts ever! Tu ne peux pas qu’écrire une recension excellent pour cette famille!L’appartement est propre et très confortable avec une vue extraordinaire sur la mer surtout pour le coucher du soleil!Diafani c’est la vraie Karpathos très loin du tourisme affecté et artificiel de Pigadia!La famille à John - une vachement merveilleuse Famille avec le F majuscule- c’est le mieux qu’on se peut souhaiter. Après avoir voyagé partout, nous pouvons bien dire qu’ils sont les meilleurs Hôtes de tous les temps!

Diafani is a picturesque village, with sparkling sea and quiet beach! We enjoyed swimming a lot! The apartment is just 5 min. Walk from the beach, but there is a big inclination, that might be a problem for elderly or people with disabilities! The photos looked better than the apartment was in fact! Needs a good renovation! We found the place not very clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen! All glasses and plates needed a good wash before any use! Besides, Mr.Nikos the father of John, that showed us the place was very nice and tried to help any time we asked for help. Two essential advices from my side: Don’t use motorcycle in Karpathos! With the height and very strong winds is useless! If you want to see around and not just to stay in diafani you’d better rent a car!!! And be aware that the village or probably the whole island, suffers of lack of water, which means, July and August, at least, be prepared to remain without a shower for... days!...
