Me and my family had such a comfortable, relaxing and lovely time at Heather's farmhouse. The house and property were so beautiful, peaceful and private. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and updated but with lots of original character and charm. We loved all the windows and different deck access from all around to enjoy the outdoors and take in the garden and views. The decks, large lawn and the small beach by the pond were perfect for our young kids and dog to frolic around. It is very private and away from the road. We hiked around the property on the trail several times and were impressed by the varied landscape and how well maintained it all is. Heather was wonderful to communicate with and was conscientious snd proactive about getting us settled and set up. We did half day trips to owen sound and markdale, but the real gem is the property itself! We look forward to returning!

Our family of 4, including our dog Alfie, loved our stay at Heather's farm! The boys spent hours throughout the day by the pond, which includes a small sandy area. It was so quiet and peaceful, Alfie had the run of the open area and was in absolute heaven. The farm house was well stocked and clean, we felt right at home. Heather is such a great host, so proactive with communication and responded quickly. There isn't anything close by (which was perfect for us because we enjoyed the silence) but a short drive away is Markdale, where we were able to shop at Foodland and the LCBO and there's a place called Susan's Delicatessan's that has excellent sandwiches and treats. The town also has a transfer station if you need to dispose of any garbage. Our kiddo's enjoyed a day at Storybook Gardens and ice cream in Dornoch but we mainly spent our days on the farm. We've stayed at a lot of different cottages throughout Ontario and Heather's was one of our favourites, we will definitely be back!

We had a great getaway at Heather’s place. It was definitely like a home away from home with everything we needed. Our lab lives running around the property and playing in the snow. Would love to return in the summer months!

My husband, dogs and I enjoyed our stay at Heather's property very much. The trails were absolutely beautiful and her home was so comfortable and cozy. The pond was amazing and the dogs were in heaven. It was so quiet and peaceful there. I highly recommend a stay here.

An absolute perfect escape!!! You will have everything you need and more. A beautiful farmhouse located on a idyllic property with marked/maintained trails. Also, Heather is an amazing host. She communicated with us very well and we felt very comfortable reaching out if we needed anything. We plan on making this our exclusive getaway for future trips. If you are looking for a brief escape from the city, this home will not disappoint. You will fall in love with this picturesque retreat and find yourself missing it the instant you leave. Thank you Heather for opening your home to us and our fur babies.
