Ilanga Lodge is located in the middle of the African bush in the privately owned Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate (HWE). Here you find peace and quiet, a rich animal and bird life right outside your door... and just 2,5 km away from the house, you have Hoedspruit, a small and cozy tourist town with everything you need such as grocery stores, banks, restaurants, cafés, shops, art, and souvenirs. All rooms have comfortable beds covered by mosquito nets and with natural stuffing in the duvets and pillows. There are air conditioning and/or a fan in all rooms. Ilanga Lodge is well furnished and equipped and there are free WI-FI all over. HWE is only accessible for residents and invited guests. All the houses are located on ½ ha of land. The animals walk around freely... of course only peaceful animals, which means that you can travel around by foot, bike, horse or car on the paved roads and pathways in the larger 680 ha area and get close to the animals. You can meet giraffes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeest, monkeys, and different beautiful antelopes... along with many different bird species.
