Welcome to my home, Kleio at Muses! My place has all the comforts you will need to make it your home away from home. You will enjoy the cozy rooms and ambience, the brand stylish furniture and modern decoration in earthy relaxed colors. You will find some of my favorite Greek poets quotes on the walls to welcome you. A fully equipped kitchen and tech amenities that are ideal for those who don’t want to miss out anything while travelling! The apartment is on the second floor and once you open the heavy security door you will feel at home. The living room is bathed in daylight and has its own balcony facing a nice and quiet street. A cozy stylish sofa is right there to help you sit comfortably and relax while listening to music on the stereo or watch your favorite Netflix show on the big smart flat screen TV. With air-conditioning in each room and heating panels in all rooms you will be able to adjust the temperature as you wish. You will also find a cozy, custom made wooden bar by the wall where you can enjoy your meal or dinner under the nice light or use it as a comfy workstation. The Wi Fi is excellent 24/7 and all the doors of the wardrobes have lockers to secure maximum safety for your belongings. The bedroom has two single beds with very comfortable mattress, spacious wardrobe with safety box, a dressing table and a private balcony. It also has a flat screen smart TV (Netflix ready) The bathroom has a shower cabin. Hairdryer, hair straightener and bathroom amenities (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap) are complimentary to all my guests. You will also find a fully equipped kitchen and fridge as well as a microwave oven, two toasters and two coffee makers, one of them a Nespresso coffee maker. Nespresso capsules for your first cofee in Athens is on me, if you want more capsules I can proivde them to you with a charge. The couch in the living room can become a comfortable double bed when open and can accommodate two people. There is a washing and a drying machine at the laundry room on the rooftop of the building, to be used exclusively by our guests. The block of “Muses Residence” is small, with only 6 apartments, all of them are rental apartments. The rooftop offers great view to Filopapou Hill and the neighborhood. There is no garage for your car, but you can find a free parking place easily close to the apartment 24/7.

If I could rate this place negative stars i would because of the events that occurred during our stay. First thing host told us uber did not work in the city and we would have to arrange a 60€ taxi service with them or try our luck with their local taxi app called Beat since we landed at 3 am in the morning there were not many options which would charge about the same. Taxi service was advertised to come with free WiFi and complimentary water (it did not). The driver also dropped us off at the wrong location, leaving us stranded so we had to contact the host at 5 am to be picked up and taken to the correct location. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We stayed here for less than 24 hrs to cover a layover. The bed’s pillow headboards had yellow stains on them definitely not the best cleaning service in this apartment. During our stay we discovered BED BUGs and a nest in the corner of the headboard pillows. We reported them immediately to the host and sent pictures and took a video of the incident as my friend had been bitten. We were told by the host that had never happened before and may have been transported via airport luggage. Judging from the amount of eggs and bugs and the fact that our luggage was hardshell it did not come from us. Mary assured us that she had called a pest control company to deal with the situation but to be on the safe side if you choose to stay here or anywhere on Airbnb PLEASE PLEASE check the beds or any cloth furniture before you place your belongs. Other than that the place is central and host were easy to reach.

Mary's flat is in a good, walkable location and it was easy to park our car close by. Flat is very comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely recommend!

And it truly is a new, hip and friendly neighborhood at the footprints of Acropolis with a classic character, remarkable neo classic buildings and tiny shops full of surprises in affordable prices. Find a hip café right next door, café and tavern with homemade food just some steps away, a super market just two minutes’ walk away and excellent links to public transport such as busses, trolleys and metro.
The Metro station of Sygrou-Fix and Acropolis are just 10 minutes walk away. Don’t forget to walk to Filopapou Hill that is just 100m away from the doorstep and enjoy the amazing view to Acropolis, Thisio pedestrian street -which is the longest ancient pedestrian road in Europe! –, the historical center and breath in the Athenian positive vibes of 5000 years ancient civilization!
Visit the most famous museums of the city that are just close to the apartment or head to the port of Pireus easily with the metro, train or bus to continue your trip to the Greek islands.
If you like walking, just 10 to 15 minutes away you reach Acropolis, Plaka, Syntagma and some of the most famous sights of Athens. You can also do a small hike up to Filopapou Hill – you don’t need to be a pro! The access is easy for everybody! - and get down to the other side at Dionisiou Areopagitou famous road where the Acropolis museum is or continue down to Monastiraki vibrant area and Plaka.
If you want to take a taxi, a central but quiet road is right in front of the house and taxis are passing quite often.
The public transport has excellent links to the location of the apartment and a trolley stop is two meters from the doorstep. This trolley gets you fast to Fix Metro Station that is just 1km away.
