Nice place for a long-term stay. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Not touristy at all. Felt comfortable and secure walking all around the neighbourhood and area.

Mike's place was convenient because of location, dedicated parking spot, safe neighborhood, it is a mixed use townhouse with separate entry for first floor if set up as rental or for business, owner lives in residence above, front porch faces street and enclosed back patio faces parking lot so usually kept window shades closed. Appreciated small amenities like welcome coffee/tea and kitchen, laundry, and toiletry supplies. Great location as close to Costco and Kapolei Commons and safe neighborhood as in newer development, apple maps will take you directly there, you will get lost with goog-maps. Only downside if you like to cook or come with larger party is kitchenette but this is made up for by additional full size fridge and own washer and dryer in partitioned off garage. Great place to stay for work/travel during my 4 week stay.

This is our second visit in less than a year. That should say how much we enjoyed and appreciated being at Mike’s place. Mike is very responsive if you need assistance, but this being our second time, we had all the privacy needed for a relaxing and stress-free stay. The location is superb, close to shopping, the freeway to get you to different places throughout the island, many excellent restaurants and golf courses too. Although we did not use the pool, it is very convenient and available. The pool is very close by and very clean. I can’t say enough about this place and the host Mike. You can count on us to return next year.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Mike’s place. He was very responsive when we sent a couple messages and very kind to help us out ! The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. He even provided shampoo, soap, paper products, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare simple meals , even foil , plastic wrap, spices and cooking spray. Oh and a bag of coffee (cream and sugar too)!!! This was so great for the morning after our very late arrival. We also enjoyed the pool which is very close to the apartment. We saw people use the grills at the pool often so we know that they keep them full of fuel. We had considered staying in downtown Honolulu but we were quickly thankful that we gad opted to stay in Kapolei as the traffic and expense of Honolulu made us feel like we dodged a bullet by staying at Mike’s place. The neighborhood was clean, peaceful, beautiful and friendly!! Oh very comfy bed too!!
