The cottage is located on the slopes of the Helderberg, close to beautiful hiking trails, world renowned wine estates and Erinvale Golf course is a 5 minute drive. The historic Vergelegen and Lourensford wine estates with superb cafes and restaurants are only a 5 minute drive. Within walking distance of the town centre and shops. Come and enjoy our little slice of paradise! This charming cottage comes with all amenities to ensure a fantastic stay. The perfect destination for a relaxing holiday, guests are welcomed into this light and airy space through a private entrance with direct access to the tranquil garden and pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the area.

We had the pleasure of staying at Catherina’s cottage for several days. Her place was immaculate, absolutely spotless, and central located between a number of vineyards and the beach which made it an idea place to stay during our visit. However the best part of staying here was our host, Catherina. She was hands down the most caring and loveliest host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. If you’re looking for a secure, safe, clean, calm and relaxing stay while in the Western Cape then look no further. Thank you again Catherina for being such an awesome host!!!
Score: 10/10 ! All comments are correct, this cottage is just very nice to stay. The interior is attractive and very complete with a personal touch from the friendly and attentive owner. Beautiful garden 🌺🌸 with many birds 🕊 and squirrels 🐿 . We especially noticed the little extras, such as a bottle of wine on arrival. Excellent! Stay here for the night, you won't regret it! 👌👍 Thank you Catherina ! 🥰
A lovely comfortable cottage, that suited our needs. Linens etc were top class. The swimming pool was a lovely feature. Located within a very short and inexpensive Uber ride from all of Somerset West’s best restaurants and wineries. The only things we missed, was not having a dishwasher, washing machine, and shower cubicle. But, we knew about these before booking.
Liebe Catherina, Wir haben uns bei Dir ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Dein Haus ist hervorragend eingerichtet mit einem schönen Garten und Pool. Die Ruhe hat uns besonders gut gefallen ! We had a lovely stay at Catherine’s place. It was super clean and the kitchen well equipped for cooking at home. The pool is very attractive and both my husband and I enjoyed swimming lengths every day. The area is safe and close to good restaurants and many golf clubs. Catherina is a responsive host who is always helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Equally enticing is the historic town of Stellenbosch, nestled in its famous winelands and only a 15 minute drive away. Dine amongst the vineyards after a fantastic wine-tasting at one of our acclaimed wineries including Boschendal, Rust en Vrede and Kanonkop, or enjoy a round of golf at the De Zalze estate. Franschhoek village is a mere 1 hour drive and offers further excellent options to explore.
