L'appartamento di Katja è una vera meraviglia! In una posizione che ho valutato 5 stelle, a 15 minuti di auto dal centro di Firenze, in grado di infondere pace e serenità. L'appartamento è curatissimo e molto caratteristico, con un arredamento elegante e rustico al tempo stesso. Tramonti eccezionali, penso che appenderó in salotto una foto che ho fatto nel corso del soggiorno! E il panorama di giorno non è da meno!! Unica accortezza: seguite alla lettera le istruzioni che Katja vi invierà per raggiungere l'appartamento, non seguite il GPS! 2 gatti (tra cui il mitico Greg!) e 1 cane (Pandora) vi terranno una compagnia insuperabile se avrete la fortuna di godere del relax di questo angolino di paradiso! grazie Katja e a presto! Tornerò sicuramente!

If you are looking for the most beautiful Tuscan escape that is a mere 10 minutes drive from Florence and all it's amazing sights, this is the spot, we stayed here for 2 nights and could easily have stayed for many more, the quality of the villa is perfect, it is just rustic enough outside however still basically brand new and spotlessly clean. It was truly like a breath of fresh air coming "home" each night to Villa Palagio after spending the day visiting the incredible sights that make up Firenze. Katja's communication was spot on, she even met us in downtown Girone so we could follow her in our hire car to her property, Katjs's tips on where to park in town and what to see was also a huge help. The added bonus for us was Pandora her Golden Retriever who so happily greeted us each time, not to mention Greg her "rescue cat", we loved every minute of our stay and will be sure to stay here again upon our return to Firenze.

We had a wonderful stay at Katja's place. The interior is stylish and cool in every sense [very important when it gets hot, as often happens in a Tuscan summer], while the hill breezes and stunning views turned the outside into another room. You definitely need a car to get the most out of this location, but we happily walked down the hill and up again [the latter is a great way to work off all that Italian food!]. The bus service from the bottom of the hill into Florence is incredibly easy and convenient, just €1.50 each way with contactless payment. A special bonus for us was catching the start of the local truffle festival down the hill, which runs Sept 5-22 - a volunteer run event in evenings where you can eat amazing rustic food [much of it featuring truffles] with the proceeds going to charity. All in all, a wonderful and restful week in the Tuscan hills - bella, bella!

Wonderful location, private apartment with full kitchen open plan lounge with spiral stairs to the master bedroom. The farm building renovation has been beautifully done, modern glass meets original wooden beam features and exposed original brick. Very cosy and homey feel. The shower is powerful and the mosquito net above the bed is ideal! All windows open out to the Tuscan countryside. 10 minutes to Florence, idea escape away from the city, free onsite parking. Katja is a terrific host and the pets are friendly too!
