A modest shotgun-style home in the Treme just 1.3 miles from fairgrounds and 1.8 miles from the French Quarter. This Treme home is over 100 years old with high ceilings, wooden floors, floor to ceiling windows, and mosaic fireplaces. Easy access to City Park, NOMA, Fairgrounds, and Bayou Saint John. Huge backyard with garden, seating area, and an indoor/outdoor cat. This bedroom is filled with light, art, and antiques. There is a full-size Avacado mattress, reading chair, mirror, and chest with a lamp. The guestroom has high ceilings, wood floors and a mosaic fireplace (non-working). It is decorated with houseplants, vintage cameras, and art & literature from New Orleans based artists. The living room contains a large couch, a small love seat, and a breakfast bar with stools. The kitchen is stocked with common appliances and cookware, but I do not have a microwave.

This is a really good and cool place to stay if you are going to Mardi Gras because it is close to where the parades takes place and you can walk to the French Quarters.

Great stay! Sarah was very accommodating and her recommendations around town were excellent. Her place is close enough to the French Quarter to walk but far enough from the hustle and bustle to feel like a true southern getaway. At the value, I would definitely stay again!

This was such a pleasant home! It was clean and cozy. The area was charming and a perfect location for visiting Nola. Sara was very kind, welcoming and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again!

We had an awesome time staying here. We never thought that part of our trip to Nola would involve becoming incredibly fond of a chicken! I would highly recommend this stay to grown, easy going couples who love unique experiences. Our host was super nice, easy to talk to, and welcoming. We became fast friends with the well kept cat of the grounds as well. <3 We made memories that we will never forget and hope to visit soon!

The Treme is a charming place to live. There are often kids playing on the sidewalk and block parties with food & music. Everyone says hello to one another so please enjoy the southern hospitality and return the greetings.
We are very close to NOMA, Bayou Saint John and City Park. There is a Whole Foods less than 1/2 a mile away and a 24 corner store two blocks away. Willie Mae's Scotch House and Dooky Chase are both walking distance.
Although our block is safe, New Orleans is a city with an edge. Do not travel alone at night in any part of this city. It's best to keep alert and travel in groups especially in the French Quarter. Uber and Lyft are inexpensive, so I highly recommended when traveling to and from the Quarter. Please do independent research on safety precautions before you arrive.

There is street parking available on the block. Biking is the most efficient way to get around New Orleans but stick to the bike paths as many streets have potholes. App-based rides are relatively inexpensive getting into the French Quarter but use the pedicabs once you're there.
