We were unfortunately very disappointed in our stay. Our listing promised wifi, and did not actually have wifi, so we were forced to leave early. Communication with the property management company was poor, and they failed to rectify the issue, or fairly compensate for the lack of wifi. The listing was extremely dirty. A layer of dust on everything—the fan blades were so dirty we didn’t dare turn it on. There were dead bugs and cobwebs all over. The fireplace window was caked with soot and dirt to where you could not see the flames in the fireplace. The place was overall dirty, and the kitchen was missing quite a few items to cook with, and those provided were dirty. For a $175 cleaning fee, I expected much better. I was really excited to stay here and was very disappointed with not only the stay, but the lack of communication and care from the property management company. The “driveway” was very steep and less than ideal. I would recommend you find another place to stay than Vacasa.
Overall the place was great. The cabin was very nice but was not cleaned very well (dusty, cobwebs, stove top had stains and needed a good scrub). We would have been happy to help clean- there was a broom and dustpan and a floor duster but no pads. Clean sheets, towels, shampoo/conditioner provided, plus the kitchen had all the basics. It would have been nice to have a grill though. There is a washer and dryer, which is great. But just be aware they are small capacity and each takes 1-3 hours to run through a cycle. The dishwasher is great, but is also small capacity. There was a dish drying rack but it was kinda gross and I didn’t want to place my clean dishes in it. The beds are pretty comfy- even the upstairs beds but watch your head. The drive is very steep- we had a minivan in summer that made it up but would scrap the bottom when backing out. There would be no way to get around in the winter without 4x4. Overall, very nice place to stay but just needs a good cleaning.
The cabin was just as described, with beautiful views, quiet surroundings, and well-appointed. Dripping water had iced up the front steps; the driveway was clear. Furnace worked well, portable heater worked fine. Nice supply of games and puzzles. Kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils & selection of pantry goods including spices and dry goods. Plenty of paper towels, dish and laundry detergent, TP, etc. A little short on glassware. Plenty of bath linens and travel size soaps & shampoos. Bed sheets were fresh and clean. Upstairs mattresses a bit uncomfortable but everyone has their own mattress taste. Yes, the upstairs ceiling over the beds is low, but it's an A-frame cabin so that's to be expected. TV and wi-fi worked fine but the remotes either had no batteries or dead batteries except for one. Inconvenient, but we worked around it. Many burnt out light bulbs. One MAJOR issue, support was unresponsive. We made do; requested and received an appropriate refund amount.
The cabin is beautiful. The mountains are beautiful, space in cabin was great. I had asked if there was snow and the response was “there is snow in the area” the main roads were fine. But we could not locate our cabin, GPS said it was on the other side of a wall of snow. When we finally found the cabin (on our own cause no one answered the # provided) it was 1.5 hr later & we spent 30 mins trying to get off Gurr rd & into the drive icy drive way, car kept sliding down. And a huge pot hole that nothing except a 4x4 could get over. Two of us slipped hard on icy driveway. Super stressful. Then it was cold in the downstairs bedroom so we plugged in the provided space heater. It cause power to go out in bedroom&bath. No point to try to call again so we felt with that for the weekend & circuit breaker was buried under 10ft of snow. Under couch cushion were filthy. it was clear bedding was not cleaned due to hair ties in the bed. Also kitchen chairs need replaced before they injure someone
