We had a very private, peaceful and wonderful stay at this charming Rivah home that's located literally steps from the water!!! The magnificent water views, relaxing hammocks, sandy beach walks, amazing sunsets and sunrises, and roasting marshmallows by the night fire next to the water were all so cozy, comforting and enjoyable. We are happy with this choice that we made for our weekend getaway. Definitely a jewel on the Rivah that we look forward to returning!

We greatly enjoyed our time at this beautiful place! The view was great, and we were very pleased with how quiet and peaceful the neighborhood was. Our young children loved playing on the clean and shallow beach. Although we didn’t catch many fish, we caught enough crabs in the crab pots (which are provided ) to make up for the lack of fish…YUM!! Wish we could have stayed longer, and we certainly hope to return some time!! P.S….we enjoyed watching the ospreys and even saw a few dolphins!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Karen’s lovely riverfront home on the beautiful Rappahannock River. We loved having our own private sandy beach space, and little lagoon tucked between two piers. We enjoyed grilling on the upper deck and relaxing inside and outside of the house I love the different levels to hang out on. The little smoker grill was great. We loved it. It was so easy to use and plenty of charcoal and lighter fluid and tools were provided. We did not get around to using the kayaks or canoe, but we did do some fishing from the pier. Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything. We saw several dolphins out in the channel and plenty of osprey and other water birds. We explored the surrounding areas of Urbana, Saluda and Tappahannock during our stay all within an easy driving distance. Everything was as advertised and we didn’t have any major issues. Karen was the most responsive host by far of my four Airbnb rentals to date. We hope to rent from Karen again next year. 😎

Wonderful getaway from DC. Beautiful scenery, comfortable, clean and well stocked house and very responsive host. The tap water is from an artisanal well and the odor may be an issue for some people , as it was for us. But you can easily get bottled water from nearby convenience store. Overall the place is highly recommended for families and kids. We hope to be back again.
