We had a great 2-night Columbus Day weekend stay at Hilltop Happiness. About a 10-minute bike ride from the ferry landing with extremely clear communication from Rich and Patty relating to check-in, logistics, etc. The suite was a great home base for a weekend of activities and also for some much-needed relaxation on the deck overlooking the airfield and the harbor. Rich was very helpful throughout our stay and we hope to be back soon. Note that the bike ride back from town is a steady climb for a couple of miles so less experienced cyclists may want to opt for a cab or a car. All downhill on the way in though :)

This location delivered on everything I was looking for, a quiet and peaceful getaway. I was able to walk to the ferry area and a couple of other spots, which felt so nice given the great weather, and the taxis were available otherwise. Patty and Rich made the process and communication so easy. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

First thing I noticed was the place was spotless and the bathroom was huge. The deck overlooking the airport was awesome. It was exactly what we wanted for our trip. It was basically a hotel room. Bed, bathroom, shower, mini fridge, coffee, all the normal essentials of a hotel room. But way nicer and super clean. Very quiet peaceful location. Besides the planes and helicopters but I really enjoy watching them so that was actually a bonus for us. We had a great time.

Rich literally goes out of his way for jus guests. I never had a host that also acted like my Uber driver. Picking us up at the ferry and back. He wouldn’t even accept my tip. The unit was really nice, comfortable bed, high quality linens. He supplied an abundance of coffee K cups and a basket of snacks. You cannot go wrong renting from Rich and Patty. Bravo!

If you have the opportunity to stay here, don’t miss it. It's a perfect place to stay after a long day around the island. Distance, ten minutes driving from the ferry; Rich will take care of you; just coordinate with him the arrival time Room, big enough for a couple, coffee maker snacks, water. The bathroom was perfect; It had everything: towels, beach towels, and the detail of natural flowers was lovely. They make us feel like we are in the perfect beach house. Noise, Inside the apartment we don't hear much noise. We sit on the patio and enjoy seeing the helicopters and small planes leaving and landing; the noise is part of the experience. The airport closed at night, so there was no noise after seven. Ps: Two Guys on BI, is a Rich podcast.
