Little Forge is a self-contained holiday let adjoined to The Old Forge in the heart of historic Pembridge, the jewel in the crown of Herefordshire's Black & White Village Trail. One bedroom + sitting room (with sofabed), kitchenette and shower room. Private entrance. Patio with outdoor seating and off-street parking. Oodles of character! Minimum stay requirement applies: please check for details. Suitable for 2 adults plus up to two children who could sleep on the sofabed in the sitting room. An adult could sleep on the sofabed but please note that access to the bathroom is via the bedroom (or via the patio and back in through the main entrance). Also outdoor seating on a private patio for when our British weather allows! The bedroom was once the actual forge and still has hooks and chains that were used to tether the horses, as well as the original old beams. This part of the house (renamed 'Little Forge') was in more recent years used as an artist's studio by a well-known local painter.

Great stay in this historic forge property, which couldn't offer better access straight out onto the main street of lovely Pembridge. The property was immaculately clean, well equipped and with good facilities and there was a thoughtful welcome pack to greet us. Andree was a very friendly and helpful host. If there was a negative it was the care needed with the car coming in and out through the entrance way but we managed OK - and if parking up during the day it's almost as easy to use the village car park not far away.

A quaint medieval village full of history on Herefordshire's Black & White Village Trail. A choice of eateries and drinking holes right on the doorstep of Little Forge, including two pubs (both serving food), two cafés and an Egon Ronay-recommended restaurant. More choices on the outskirts of the village, including the 'Cider Barn' and a Michelin-star pub restaurant ('The Stagg at Titley') less than 6 miles away. Also, The Chapel Gallery in Pembridge sells high quality arts and crafts, including sculptures and jewellery; and there is a hairdresser's. Leominster, one of the UK's capitals for antique shops, is about 6 miles away. The popular towns of Hay-On-Wye and Ludlow are within easy reach. Every Monday, there is an auction of antiques and bric-a-brac in the village hall.

出行信息

By car is the most practical but there is the mainline train station in Leominster and a limited bus service from Pembridge to Leominster and to Hereford at weekends. The nearby village of Shobdon has an airfield for anyone with a private jet!

I live in Pembridge with my two dogs. I work in the travel industry, specialising in luxury hotels and holidays. Now trying my hand at helping people to enjoy this beautiful part of the country by opening up my home! I have a lot of favourite spots around the world, including Jamaica, Russia, Cambodia, New York, Vancouver, Venice. I lived and worked in London for most of my life and love the metropolis too but being originally from Hereford, I have moved back to my roots. I enjoy a lot of our local and artisan foods (& ciders)! I speak French and Russian (the latter in need of practice) and get by in Italian and a smattering of German. All nationalities are welcome in my home and I am excited to meet you on your travels.
