I cannot say enough about the place. Beautiful atmosphere in the deep woods. Cozy and comfy. We loved the spices and other various amenities. Unfortunately, the GPS took us to a different location and it took us an hour to locate the house. The host was very good about helping us to find the house, and it was a lot easier getting back once we saved a pin of the coordinates. There was an issue with the water where it was coming out of the tap cloudy during our stay, but Brian provided us with a case of drinking water. As far as I can tell, this was just a temporary issue. Lastly, the bathroom door didn't close, which made things a little difficult. Other than those small things, everything was exceedingly nice. The camp fire was lovely. Hiking was amazing. It's about a half mile hike to the lake. I highly recommend this place, even with these few set backs. We will be going back.

Enjoyed another great week at this rustic lodging. Very comfortable, pleasingly private, and accessible to both nature trails and town. Hope to return again.

I had a great stay at Forest Loft Rustic Retreat. It's brand new, extremely clean, and boasts a pleasing rustic style. The photos are accurate, but the reality exceeds them. The Loft is well-equipped with basic necessities and well-furnished with quality tables, chairs, lights, etc. I enjoyed the small deck for reading and coffee--kind of a treehouse effect. Internet service was good. A+ on bed comfort. I slept great. Overall, exceedingly comfortable and quiet. The hosts were immediately responsive to inquiries. I arrived at night and my GPS landed me a half mile away, but Bryan answered his phone and directed me. If you arrive during the daytime, the property is easy to see from the lightly-traveled gravel road out front. Worth noting: The bottom floor of the building is a workshop/garage area. Several vehicles drop by on occasion to retrieve tools and supplies. They enter from a loop on the opposite side of the living quarters. I appreciated that they were quick and mindful in their visits. Primarily, the Rustic Retreat is indeed a secluded and "nature noise" only experience. Besides the enjoyment of the quiet and solitary loft, there is a hiking trailhead a half mile away, the college town of Clarion 2 miles away, and Pittsburgh 90 minutes away. It's a nice mix of isolation and civilization. I took a shot on this place because it had no reviews (brand new)--and I'm very glad that I did. In fact, I booked a second week immediately after my full enjoyment of the first one. I would recommend Forest Loft Rustic Retreat for 1-3 people.
