Our extended family truly enjoyed our 3 nights at the Taggart House. All bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom and were immaculate. Comfy beds and linens provided. George was nice enough to provide us with the history of the house and property. The house is walking distance to Stockbridge and a quick drive to Great Barrington and Lenox. Lots of gas fireplaces and a wood burning one which we thoroughly enjoyed. The billards room was an extra bonus. Thanks again George!

The home was in an excellent location and was very large. Plenty of rooms. Perhaps our mistake, but we expected it to be more modern inside. The floors creaked a lot and at night if someone walked you would hear it. Main issue was that it had a lot of bathrooms which is what we wanted for the several couples who were staying but 2 of the bathrooms were difficult to use, especially for older people. One bathtub was under a very low ceiling and you basically couldn't stand and shower so that bathroom was unusable for that couple. We were there at an odd time of year when it was cold at night but warm in the daytime so again due to the age of the house it did not allow heat and AC at the same time so the people who were a little cold sensitive had to use extra blankets at night and just suffer a little because we needed AC during the day. George was hard to reach via Airbnb messaging but he was traveling so not that big a deal. Overall not bad but just a little old.

Beautiful house with incredible space! Comfortably fit 12 of us! The bedrooms are each unique in their decor and Taggart House overall gives insight in the beautiful history of Stockbridge. If you’re planning on staying in and cooking, the kitchen has everything you need down to small appliances. This was our second stay at Taggart House and hopefully not our last! Hosts were gracious to show us all the wonderful restoration work they’ve done themselves as well and great places to eat and grocery shop.

Our family (10) met up in a central location, and this was perfect. We were all adults with an infant. The property is easily located on Main St., walking distance to shops and restaurants, near lots of Berkshire attractions; yet set back overlooking river and hills. Check-in and -out directions were easy and flexible. Owner was friendly and available, yet unobtrusive. Lots of room to be alone or to gather. The property is old/historic, which we love, but if you prefer new/minimalism/pristine, might not be for you. Despite being old, it was not drafty or cold, and has excellent water pressure. We enjoyed access to a working fireplace. Great place to make memories.
