Absolute perfection! We took our two dogs and spent two nights at one of the primitive cabin sites. We did not use the cabin, but instead, pitched our tent near it. The set-up is amazing - plenty of ground space, plenty of woods, plenty of trails, plenty of firewood. Super zen.

if you want a peaceful area to do some primitive camping, this is the place! maybe bring an air mattress for extra cushion on the futon. it was quiet, peaceful, and the area is well taken care of. I suggest this place if you want to get away from the daily grind.

Great place to stay at if you’re looking to unplug! The river was very peaceful and canoeing was very fun! Plenty of fire wood too

Amazing cabin retreat! Kathy was so responsive and even messaged me when weather was looking bad when I was on my way. The cabin has had a bit of a wood bee and ant problem but only really outside. So you can here them at night but at least they aren’t in the cabin with you. The area is gorgeous and the sunrise over the river and marsh is gorgeous. If you need a retreat, and don’t want campers right next to you or to deal with loads of other campers litter, this is an amazing option. The neighbors dogs barked often, but with all the birds and frogs you could barely hear them. *read the guest log! There is photos of them building it! She’s almost 20!*
