Sejour au calme dans ce village à mi chemin entre Trinidad et les plages . Accueil très chaleureux et familial. On profite de l’ombre du jardin. Les repas sont très copieux. La cuisine est très bonne : la famille travaille dans la restauration.

Mario and family are hospitality professionals who treated us royally and are all great cooks with sumptuous breakfasts and dinners. The house is wonderfully quirky, with a beautiful rear patio for dining under the trees, and a roof deck with views of Trinidad and the Topes de Collantes. Location in Casilda is ideal, both for short trips into Trinidad or to the exceptional snorkeling beaches on Ancon peninsula.

Der Aufenthalt bei Mario und seiner Familie hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir haben uns gefühlt, als hätten wir unsere eigene Familie besucht. Alle waren total nett und stets um unser Wohlbefinden bemüht. Das Essen war immer sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Man gab uns Tipps für Unternehmungen und half uns bei jeglicher Organisation. Die Lage der Casa im ruhigen Vorort Casilda war für uns perfekt. Bis Trinidad sind es ca. 5 km, und man kommt gut dorthin. Alle weiteren Ziele waren für uns ebenfalls gut erreichbar. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

Wir haben uns bewusst für Casilda nahe Trinidad und Playa Ancon entschieden und sind bei Mario in einer wunderbaren, familiär geführten Casa gelandet. Es gab ein reichhaltiges, leckeres Frühstück und nach Wunsch super leckeres Essen in großen Portionen. Nette Gespräche und viele gute Reisetips und- Hilfen auf Spanisch, Englisch und Deutsch. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet, Toilette und Dusche gut. Von Casilda aus kann man viel unternehmen und wohnt dennoch nicht im trubeligen Trinidad. Wir waren 8 Tage dort und würden jederzeit wiederkommen, leider ist eine Reise nach Cuba nicht so oft möglich. Wer Mario eine Freude machen will, bringt ein deutsches Fußballtrikot mit. Mario and his house are real gems. We were made to feel part of his family and were looked after extremely well. Mario is an amazing chef, the meals that he creates are second to none. The house is divided up - Mario and his wife live upstairs and his parents live downstairs. We stayed in the downstairs room which has an ensuite bathroom and includes a fridge. Everything is clean and the air con is great. Mario's parents also help out and cook meals if Mario is not in. Whilst they don't speak English and our Spanish is limited, we managed to communicate really well and spent evenings chatting and drinking coffee. Mario is able to recommend and organise all of the activities available in the local area. Travelling with a teenager can be difficult at times, ensuring that you have a safe place to stay is essential. We left feeling that we had gained some new friends and my son has new grandparents Thank you Mario and family for making our trip to Casilda such a special experience. If we ever return to Cuba, we will definitely stay with you.
