A unique stay in the true spirit of Portland! I would recommend this AirBnb to any open-hearted travelers. The guest space is designed with ecofriendliness as a priority, and the home is in great proximity to Hawthorne street and the SE district. The gardens are lovely and Carole was a sweet, approachable, & graceful host, with a serious attention to detail for guests' comfort. We had a cozy & warm sleep with rain pattering on the roof of the treehouse, and woke up to beautiful dewdrops on the blossoms outside the windows! A magical wonderful night and a sweet, special local host. Thank you Carole!

Definitely recommend it to people who loves hiking. It is just an experience staying in a tree house. I am really appreciating that Carole borrowed me sleep bag which helped me a lot. What a lovely little house with some touching and delightful decoration. Cannot imagine how great it can be during summer and fall when you can simply grab an apple through the window of the tree house! Do not miss out when visiting Portland!

Carole was very gracious and the tree house was quite a unique and special experience. A chance to fulfill a childhood dream for some of us. It really is 4x6ft, which is plenty of room for a good nights sleep, but no room for ner a stool to sit on. If you are someone who may need a toilet in the middle of the night, you may not want to climb down the tree, so I’d recommend a small receptacle to pack out :-) It’s only 4 steps up, but a bit more challenging for us older folks. Considering that i had double knee replacement 7mo ago, and got up to the tree house without too much of a challenge….most anyone can make it up! Carole is very kind, environmentally conscious, and leaves a healthy morning snack. Good experience overall.
