Where do I begin? The location was great! It is a small town in Arenal area with great bars and markets. Host gave great recommendations. The Host was always accessible before, during and after stay with communicating directions, advice, ideas, etc via text, voice, or messaging system. The lodging of the room downstairs was more than suitable for us two travelers. We had a big bed and a twin size bed. The bathroom is enormous, the shower was what Trump would call HUUUUGE! So many great details with sample soap, floss, toothpaste were a plus. Just went in May and the room with windows & fan was perfect (not hot). The residence is beautifully decorated with art and furniture. Kitchen was accessible to place water and items in shared kitchen. The patio was great with seating and an amazing view of lake and mountains. The breakfast was one of the best meals I had in costal rica that was non traditional local food but very well as far as quality, deliciousness, and the hosts' service was above and beyond. Again everything the host does is above and beyond service. Recommending directions to or from ventures or dining in the surrounding towns. We did the Arenal skytrek hanging bridges and ziplinig with hot springs to end in the tabacon resort area and it was about a 35-45 minute drive from house. The host has the cutest dog. I understand the host also has a pick up service from airport which is a plus. But highly recommend renting a vehicle to get thru CR. But I will definitely stay again due to locations, amenities, quality of stay as far as room and service. Monteverde is about a 2hr drive from location. Both Carlos and Werner were wonderful hosts with lots of helpful tips on local excursions/activities, suggestions on local eateries and very accommodating. They want you to enjoy your stay. The BnB is on a quiet street but close enough to the main street so you don't have to drive to dinner. Our room was clean and very comfy for three people. And Carlo's breakfasts are awesome!

Werner and Carlos are really fantastic hosts. They gave us the feeling to be at home. Also their tips for activities, restaurants and more were great. The breakfast was amazing delicious. The house is located in a quiet place with a view to the Arenal Volcano and the lake. Restaurants and shops are just a couple of minutes away by car or by foot. We can really recommend them, if somebody looks for a unique unforgettable stay in the Arenal area. We hope to meet them again. And for sure, if we come back to Costa Rica we’ll stay in their house again.
