This delightful, carefree 'home away from home' family cottage sleeps 8 and is ideal for a family beach holiday. Situated only 250m from the sea, with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Lovely inside/outside flow with a private, wind-protected patio. Child friendly. This double-storied home has 2 bedrooms upstairs, both with sea views, and a separate bathroom with bidet, toilet and shower. Downstairs has one en-suite bedroom (double bed), and bathroom with both shower and bath, suitable for elderly guests as there are no steps. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. An open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area leads onto a private, covered patio which is protected from the wind and equipped with outside braai. Outside shower (cold) in the alley way Wood provided for the first braai/fire. Additional wood can be purchased locally. Comfortable lounge with indoor fireplace, TV, DSTV explorer, DVD player and a selection of DVD's, as well as a well-stocked library and games.

The house exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect - not far from the swimming beach in one direction and the hotel with restaurant in the other direction. The house is spacious and the two upstairs bedrooms with shared bathroom worked very well with our adult children joining us on this stay. My wife and I stayed in the bedroom downstairs and it gave us some privacy, which was great. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. The refrigerator is large and in good working condition. We loved the fact that there is a modern dishwashing machine. It was also very convenient to have a portable braai outside at the back of the house. The stoep at the back of the house is spacious enough and there are two tables, one small and one large. It is an ideal place to gather away from any wind that may blow and right by the braai. There is also a Weber braai but we had no need to use it. We hope to return to this house should we visit Arniston again.
We had a wonderful time in the house. The location is amazing, and the house is spacious and well-equipped. We can't wait to come back!
We stayed with two small children (ages 1 and 3). What a pearl! Location was perfect, walkable to everything but still private. The house was lovely, cool, and we felt right at home. We loved it so much we even extended our stay. We will certainly be back!
We stayed at Sylvia’s place for a few days and it was truly a home from home experience. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed and was in walking distance from the beach. From comfortable beds to hot showers, it was perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful beach getaway. Thanks again Sylvia.

The house is located in the older part of Arniston, within walking distance to the historical fishing village, Kassiesbaai, the Arniston Hotel and local restaurant. A short 5 minute walk gets you to white sandy beaches and turquoise sea, perfect for swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, surfing and walking.
In Arniston everything you need is within walking distance - no need to use a car.

I live in Greyton with my husband and 2 dogs. We several children and grand children who are spread far and wide. We are very sociable people and constantly have family and or friends visiting us. We live on a large property, I am a keen gardener, I have a fairly successful vegetable garden and I am involved with the Greyton Red Cross association.
