PERFECTLY CHARMING! We had a lovely stay in this adorable cottage. Every detail of the decorating was functional, comfortable, and classic. The nods to the history of Lake Rabun were especially appreciated! Can’t wait to come back!

We loved this house on the lake. Access to the boathouse was a very nice plus to this stay, time by the lake was great. The house is beautiful, recently renovated, and nicely appointed. We also appreciated getting late checkout! There are a couple of notes we had: the photos show a fireplace, but it’s non functional. This is noted in the abnb details, but way down the list. In the cooler weather it’s somethingy our combined families really look forward to, and badly missed this time. This makes the rental a much more warm-weather place to visit than in fall or winter. Which is too bad. The property owner should consider getting it fixed. The other disappointment was that there’s no family dining area. We had 6 people and no space with adequate room or chairs to gather everyone around a table for dinner. A large kitchen island dominates that area, but is not set up for family dining. Otherwise we loved it, enjoyed our time in Lakemont, and the lake area is incredible.

What a perfect place for a gathering of friends on a lovely fall weekend! Amy’s home is beautiful. We had everything we needed (comfortable rooms, inviting and cozy spaces, well equipped kitchen, games) and everything we hoped we’d have (gorgeous view of the lake from the front porch and boathouse, as well as a peaceful and relaxing environment). Even if we wouldn’t have had such perfect fall weather we would have had a wonderful time here. Amy went above and beyond with welcoming touches (love the soaps!) and was very responsive to any questions I had. Also have to give a shout out to the very friendly caretaker. Would love to return to this special place!

Could not have asked for a better host or place to stay this lst weekend. the Lee Place is beautiful and absolutely one-of-a-kind. Thoughtfully decorated and maintained, historically engaging, and location is unmatched. We visited Terra Incognito and ate breakfast at the Rusty Bike, but the weekend would have been just as enjoyable had we stayed at the house all weekend. Sincerely a place to which we hope to return very soon.
